Litigation Services

Nelson & McClure, PLLC is a structural and forensic engineering firm. We provide design services to a select group of clients and forensic investigation, claims, and litigation services to assist owners, contractors, design firms, insurance companies, and other clientele with investigations, claims, and litigation services. In addition, we provide plan review services to governmental agencies.

Our clients include governmental agencies such as cities, counties, and states; both defense and plaintiff attorneys; and insurance companies. We have worked as testifying experts, consulting experts, and insurance coverage experts. We have helped clients mitigate design, construction, and construction management issues of all kinds and work to prevent future problems. Decades of experience enable us to quickly investigate construction problems and evaluate them based on physical evidence, interviews, and the construction record.

Typical Project Types

We provide design, investigations, plan reviews, and expert witness work in the following areas:
  • Structural Engineering – We provide services in timber, steel, concrete, and masonry construction.
  • Foundation Engineering – We provide services in spread footings, pile foundations, and other foundation systems.
  • Retaining structures – We provides services in mechanically stabilized earth walls, concrete and masonry retaining walls, and soldier pile walls.

  • Water intrusion – We provide services in some water intrusion areas. Generally, we can help with problems regarding flashing around decks, windows, doors, and water proofing of concrete and masonry walls.
